Supporting students who are the first-generation in their family to attend university

FirstGens is a multi-award winning student platform. We support students whose parents or primary caregivers did not complete a Bachelor's degree. In doing so, we enable students to successfully navigate university.

Our Supporters

Through immersive community-led programmes and our bespoke digital platform, we offer comprehensive support to those who are unfamiliar with navigating higher education. In collaboration with UK universities and graduate employers, we have established an ecosystem to promote academic, personal, and professional development.

We are working towards a world where every young person. irrespective of their background, has access to vital tools, resources, and networks needed to turn their aspirations into reality.

Data shows that two-thirds of undergraduates are first-generation students attending university and pursuing graduate jobs. Over the past four years, we have worked directly with students to understand why persistent national gaps in outcomes exist.
